You on YouTube! The advent of video as a standard mode of communication has opened up our oceangraphic world to outsiders. It also provides tips and hints to those who are familiar with the ocean but are new to the art of deploying and retrieving ocean instrumentation. Nortek has a long tradition of using instructional videos for software training, where 10 minutes with an online video can save many hours of reading manuals. What is new are YouTube videos from underwater experiments or from field operations that previously were rarely seen by people who are not directly conneced to scientific institutions or service companies. In an effort to share this information with you, we have assembled a playlist of YouTube videos contributed by users like you. Please let us know if you have more good videos that we should link! |
