NortekUSA Awards 2009 Student Equipment Grants

NortekUSA received a new record number of excellent proposals for the 2009 Student Equipment Grants. While we believe that this indicates the Student Grant program is working well for the community, the decision making process was very challenging for the review committee. The committee is pleased to announce that seven proposals were funded for research in 2009.  

The proposals covered a wide variety of oceanographic, bio-physical and coastal engineering topics.  The project abstracts are available for review.  The “word cloud” developed from a culmination of all of the funded abstracts gives a simple glimpse of the research topics.
