About NortekUSA
NortekUSA provides current and wave measurements in the ocean, lake and laboratory.
Nortek AS was formed in Oslo, Norway in 1996 by Atle Lohrmann. Atle was one of the two partners who formed Sontek in San Diego. He and his partner agreed to split Sontek into two parts in 1996, when Atle formed Nortek AS. Atle has since grown Nortek to a company of more than 60 people by providing high-quality, well rounded products and attentative customer service. Nortek has built a group of highly skilled engineers.
NortekUSA, a subsidiary company of Nortek AS, was formed in 1999 to provide sales and technical support for the Nortek acoustic Doppler current meters, profilers and velocimeters used to measure currents and waves in the ocean, lake and laboratory.
The NortekUSA office is located in the celebrated maritime community of Annapolis, Maryland and provides customer support and technical services for clients in the western hemisphere, particularly the USA and Canada. It also plays a role in the development of new products, teaming with Nortek-AS. NortekUSA provides technician staff in the Annapolis office and technical sales representatives on the East Coast, West Coast, and Gulf communities as well as in Mexico and Canada.
