Online cable
The Nortek online cable is specifically designed to withstand the harsh ocean environment. It is tough, resilient and easy to handle. Nortek recommend using this cable for all long term monitoring projects.
The cable has 6 conductors, two 18 AWG wires for the power supply and four 24 AWG wires for RS422 communication. The outer jacket is a tough and plyable polyurethane jacket that is especially formulated for exposure to abrasion. The cable has a breaking strength of more than 700kg but should not be used for hoisting purposes. Depending on the instrument configuration, the cable can be use in applications that require up to 2000-3000m cable
