Synchronization
A long time ago, we used the CIO-DAS08 in conjunction with our PC-based NDV processing cards to sample analog channels synchronously with the NDV data. However, this would not be applicable in your case since I assume you are using the stand-alone electronics in a small blue box.
In your case, I would use the NDV software function called "Sample on Sync". The NDV will start collecting data after it receives the first sync pulse from your card and output the average once it gets the second sync pulse. This way you can completely control the timing of the data collection yourself. The hardware lines are described in the NDV operations manual.
Please let us know if you run into any problems

We have recently purchased a Nortek 10 MHz Velocimeter. Do you have any software that would allow us to use the CIO-DAS08's digital lines to trigger aquisitions? We are using a positioning system on a flume and would like to take readings at various points once the device has been positioned. Failing the availability of such readymade software, are source files available for the NDV.exe software |
