Pressure sensor

Posted by Atle Lohrmann at March 26. 2002
A Nortek pressure sensor cannot measure less than 0.  As a result, about 50% of the systems will tend to measure 0 in air.  To get a reading, it is often necessary to put the instrument in water, and sometimes a water column of 0.5-1 m may be needed.

We are aware that this "feature" can be a pain when doing a quick check of the pressure sensor.  It can also be a real problem when working in very shallow water.

We are working on two fixes to make your life simpler:

<img src=" />:)'> We try to give new productions systems a positive offset during the calibration to avoid the "0-reading".
