New firmware is out
Please be aware that firmware version 1.08 for the Aquadopp profiler and version 1.12 for the Aquadopp has been released.
A couple of things to note:
a) Version 1.08 solves a problem that generated bias errors (velocity underestimated) when using small cells (<25cm) with the 2 MHz Aquadopp profiler

b) The different frequencies for the Aquadopp profiler now have different firmware versions.
c) Version 1.12 for the Aquadopp solves some problems we have had with the recorder when collecting large data files.
As always, we recommend that you use the latest firmware for your deployment. However, if you have a little time before the next trip to the field you may want to wait for version 1.09/1.13, which is just around the corner.
