Power supply considerations
*********************
The cable length above is based on a 15VDC pwr supply as pwr source.
The instruments average pwr consumption is low, however, the peak power in the short TX pulse interval is relative high.

Peak current handling.
For the 600kHz system the TX peak current is around 2.25A in a 12mS pulse during a period as a worst case. That means that the peak power delivered to the instrument from the pwr supply is 34W, and the pwr supply should be selected to withstand this pulse power without dropping the output voltage or go into a current limiting.
For the 1MHz system the TX peak current is smaller, around 1.0A in a 6mS pulse as a worst case. A 15W power supply will do the job.
